With the arrival of summer and a massive vaccination campaign taking place, we are starting to feel excited, ready to enjoy a long-awaited summer and leave a complicated year behind us.<\/p>

Barcelona inspires<\/strong>. It doesn’t matter if you are a local, an expat or an occasional visitor, we all agree that Barcelona has a special vibe that makes us feel like we are on a never-ending holiday. That’s especially true at this time of the year, when days are longer and terraces are hustling and bustling with an overdose of fine wine, nice food, great company and most importantly – fun!<\/p>

In one of our recent posts, we talked about the Eixample<\/strong>, and how you can enjoy life in Barcelona without leaving the neighbourhood. That is true but, lets be honest, Barcelona in summer means sea breeze, sand in our feet, a long laidback lunch in a beachfront chiringuito<\/em>, or enjoying the sunset cocktail-in-hand from a lovely rooftop.<\/p>

Today we bring you some of the nicest rooftops in old-town Barcelona:<\/strong><\/p>

Set in an 18th<\/sup> century building with Catalan vaulted ceilings, Soho House Barcelona<\/strong> is considered one of the best Houses <\/em>worldwide. Beautifully designed by Lazaro Rosa Viol\u00e1n<\/strong><\/a> and overlooking Marina Port Vell, this members\u2019 club & hotel features a fabulous rooftop for dining or just enjoying the views by the pool.<\/p>

And just a reminder of two of their famous house rules: No calls and no pictures allowed! The idea is to disconnect, meet fellow members and enjoy!<\/p>

Its interior design project was exquisitely executed by Lazaro Rosa Viol\u00e1n<\/a> <\/strong>who, together with Ian Schrager, co-founder of Studio54<\/strong> and responsible for the first boutique hotels <\/em>in New York, have created a unique space, consisting of three restaurants, two bars and a fabulous rooftop terrace, where you will enjoy the 360\u00ba views while sipping a nice cocktail or enjoying their weekend brunch!<\/p>

A classic in Barcelona. Designed by Colombian architect Bruce Graham<\/strong>, also known for designing the Willis Tower and the John Hancock Center, both located in Chicago.<\/p>

The Hotel <\/strong><\/a>ARTS<\/strong><\/a> and its astonishing terrace, overlooking the sea and the impressive fish sculpture designed by Frank Gehry<\/strong>, are a must-see in Barcelona.<\/p>

The building was designed in 1880 as a private residence by Catalan architect Josep Oriol Mestres<\/strong>. In 1929, it was converted into the headquarters of the General Philippines Tobacco Company.<\/p>

It was until 2005 that it was inaugurated as Hotel 1898<\/a><\/strong>, paying tribute to the year in which Philippines and Cuba declared their independence from Spain.<\/p>

Located next to noisy Las Ramblas and steps away from La Boqueria Market<\/strong><\/a>, its lush rooftop, La Isabela<\/strong>, is a hidden oasis with stunning views.<\/p>
